CRITICAL RESPONSE
Ramayana: Rise of a Legend receives a mixed response, with critics largely appreciating its ambitious scale, spectacular visuals and mythological presentation, but finding its storytelling lacking in emotional depth and character development. While Yash emerges as a major highlight with his charismatic portrayal of Ravana, Ranbir Kapoor’s Rama receives a more divided response, and the familiar narrative, uneven pacing and inconsistent music prevent the film from reaching its full potential. The climactic portions, however, offer promise for the sequel.
Verdict:
A visually grand mythological spectacle that impresses through scale and select performances but struggles to balance spectacle with engaging storytelling.
